In Luke 5:4 Peter obeyed Jesus’s command to “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” The results were amazing! Luke 5:6 says that when they obeyed Jesus’s command they caught a great number of fish and their net was breaking. Peter was in the Middle of a Miracle! The actions of Peter and those in his boat in verse 7 were vitally important to the preservation of that miracle. It says that “they signaled to their partners in the other boats to come help them.” If they had not signaled to their partners and asked for help they could have lost the whole catch as the bible says that their nets “began to break.”
The result of their partners coming and filling BOTH boats and then began to sink would have never happened had Peter and those in the boats with him not “signaled to their partners” and asked them” to come and help them.”
